We are an accredited GP Training post where patients feel valued and appreciated as supportive participants in the registrar’s learning journey. Our practice offers an alive and vital patient community who value “hands-on teaching and learning” and want to be a part of the training of the doctors of the future.

Blackbutt Medical Centre has been a mixed-billing medical practice since Feb 2020. New patients and visitors are welcome, however, all first visits are privately billed. We are taking new patients, same-day appointments (or the next day), and cater to “walk-in” and emergency patients. Patients are learning that in today’s environment, it’s no longer possible to bulk bill every patient. All consultations are time-based and attract a fee. At Blackbutt Medical Centre we pride ourselves on delivering the best quality, sustainable community health care. If our patients need to access quality health care but can’t afford it, we will, of course, bulk bill them.
